Claiming Space
An Installation done for Pride Toronto 2024, Consisting of Transparent Acrylic cut outs hung from the ceiling.
This work acts as a figurative dance evoking expression and community. Each figure caught in their own expression, taking up space through authenticity and bringing together the uniqueness of each individual into a collective space. Queerness opens pathways for expressions of authenticity, allowing us to find our own sense of freedom without compromise. Through claiming space for ourselves, we hold space for each other.
